The unique state-of-art infrastructure is geared towards facilitating hands-on learning of local crafts from masters and legends in their fields, link-ups with the craft community with international and national forums to promote ‘Rare Crafts of India’.
Craft Village offers in-house residency facilities for designers and artists from all across the world, who are willing to work in an environment where there is enough inspiration and no limitation of resources. Nature is the biggest inspiration for any art lover, be it painting, pottery, sculpture, or textiles. One needs to have a desire to capture the pristine beauty and the passion to transform it into any medium of its choice. Craft Village provides artists with a studio facility, where they can come, stay, explore and deliver their creative side. The state-of-the-art creative studios are fully equipped with canvas, colours, potters wheel, weaving units, tie and dye, textiles, camera equipment, and other necessary materials for artists and explorers.
Alan Saga has worked with popular brands such as Heineken, PepsiCo, Alen, Gruma and Helvex. Alan is the winner of prestigious international awards such as the Best Industrial Design in ‘Icons of Design 2013’ by Architectural Digest Mexico, ‘Platinum A' Design Award 2013-2014’ (Italy) and his work is displayed in the permanent exhibition at the Museum of Design MOOD (Italy).
Cynthia Mijares Rodriguez is the founder of Kokor Hekkus - handmade glass jewellery. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon (UANL). She has worked with corporations such as Schneider-Electric and Steelcase. Cynthia is the winner of Kikkerland x Sanborns Mexico Design Challenge for her product - Maraca Cocktail Shaker.
Lora Dimova is a multidisciplinary artist, living and working in Helsinki, Finland. Her works have been presented internationally at the Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, Russia; Casablanca Biennale, Morocco; World Ceramic Biennale, South Korea, etc. In 2009 she was one of the recipients of the Young Artist Award in Bulgaria.
David Shatz is a contemporary designer with a bachelor degree in Industrial Design from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem (2017). His works have been featured in prestigious publications like Designboom and Phaidon Publishing; and exhibited at Milan Design Week and Hansen House Cultural Center, Jerusalem.
Anna Katrine Kraus lives and works in Berlin, Germany. As an artist and sculptor, her major interest is Installations and Public Art. Her major works include the “Cumulus” Suite at the 28th ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden and “Nomadic Landscape” Art Street in Sacramento California, USA (2017). She received the Laundry Ceramics Award, USA in 2013.
Isabel Alvarado Del Toro is a furniture and product designer who enjoys exploring scales, materials and people experiences. Ms. Alvarado is the winner of Artesan Tile Competition by IAGO-CaSa. She was also selected as a member of DECODE design group in 2013. Isabel received an honorary mention in DIMUEBLE (national furniture design contest) in 2013 and became a finalist in 2018.
