Iti Tyagi is the founder of Craft Village and India Craft Week. She serves as an honorary External Board Member at MIT ADT, Pune. She has also served as a UNESCO/WCC International Juror for World Craft Cities. She was honoured with the prestigious 'Nari Shakti Puraskar' - the highest civilian honour for women - by the President of India in 2019, BW Disrupt Women Entrepreneur-2019 and India Fashion Awards 2020 and many more in the field of culture and social entrepreneurship.
She has studied Fashion Design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and Interior Design at KLC School of Design, London. Her career spans over two decades.
Iti Tyagi is also an Author of India-Good Stories Untold, is a memoir of journeys taken by Iti Tyagi to mystical parts of India. This book tries, successfully, to capture the essence of this India, through the manifestations of its culture, art and crafts. Erroll Pires Nelson has devoted his whole life to the unique art of “Ply-split braiding”, a traditional technique utilized to make camel belts, containers of joy, belts and soft boards. He has refined, transformed, and reinvented its usage for over 30 years in what some would call an obsessive dedication, purposefully refusing the boundary between art and object. Mr Nelson is trained as a textile designer from the National Institute of Design. He taught at NID from 1984 to 2011. Using recycled industrial yarn and his exceptionally long thumbnails, Master Errol creates magic as he deftly locks and interlocks one twisted cord through another.
Dr Himadri Ghosh was the Former Academic Head at NID, Ahmedabad, and Former Director at NIFT-TEA. He has been a veteran of the Indian Textile Industry and Education for more than five decades. He has also served as the Director of Banasthali Institute of Design (BID) at Banasthali University, Rajasthan. He has played a significant role on the most important committees & boards of Govt. of India on forming policies for the Textile, Apparel, Craft and Handloom Sectors. He has written many books, papers, and has done thousands of presentations during his academic career at various Universities and Institutions around the world.
Sundeep (IIMA alumni) has extensive experience in the field of Communication, Brand-building and General Management, which spans over 40 years.
Till 2021 he was with the Dalmia Bharat Group, where initially he was heading, Corporate Affairs and Communication, and then was Chief Executive of Craft Béton. Prior to this he was Head Corporate & Public Affairs at Novartis Healthcare, Director Corporate Affairs and Communication at SABMiller India and Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs at Godfrey Phillips. Sundeep has won several international awards such as India's first Cannes Silver Lion, The Advertising & Marketing Effectiveness (AME) Silver Award at the New York Festival and recognized by the International Advertising Association for his professional contribution in the field of advertising, marketing and marketing communications.
